Discrimination and authentication of geographical origin of Turkish Ta?köprü garlic by investigating volatile organosulfur compound profiles and multivariate analyses

چکیده

Nowadays, counterfeiting and adulteration on foods take place around the world in a variety of ways. Identification authentication geographical origin agricultural products has great importance not only for food safety, but protection registrations as well. This study aimed at discriminating Turkish Ta?köprü garlic, possessing protected indication (GI) Turkey GI registration from European Union, other samples. For this reason, combination headspacegas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HS-GC-MS) analysis volatile organosulfur compounds (VOSCs) two multivariate techniques, namely hierarchical cluster (HCA) principal component (PCA), were employed classifying garlic samples basis their origin. Discrimination including suspicious sample imported China was accomplished by performing dimensional three PCA analyses to relative amounts VOSCs also chromatogram raw data.
